5th graders from Crosby Independent School District in Texas were able to take an exciting field trip to Austin with special help from NHH Services and its sister companies. NHH Services Helps Crosby ISD 5th Graders with Field Trip to Austin

Fundraising began earlier this year for the much anticipated end-of-the-year trip, but unfortunately the students and staff fell short.

That’s when NHH Services, its parent company Medallion Transport Holdings and two sister companies, Medallion Transport and Logistics and ACE Heavy Haul stepped in to help.

The companies donated the remaining amount needed to pay for the charter buses to transport students to Austin from Crosby and back.

On Tuesday, May 29 the students enjoyed the day trip, which included the bus transportation, lunch and a tour of the state capital.

This isn’t the first time NHH and its affiliate companies have come together to help the community, specifically the Crosby community who were hit hard late last year when Hurricane Harvey made landfall.

NHH VP of Heavy Haul, Jesse Merrell who lived in Crosby for years before relocating, helped plan a clean-up weekend in November of last year to help families affected by the hurricane. Damaged homes were repaired and some families were given additional help to rebuild after the disaster.

Merrell worked alongside Barrett Elementary’s principal Karen Walthall during both the hurricane clean-up and to aid with the 5th grade trip.
